Side entry mixer is a mixer that installs the mixing device on the side wall of the equipment cylinder. Select the appropriate agitator based on the physical properties, capacity, and stirring purpose of different media. The stirring speed is generally between 300-1400r/min.
Application scope
Side entry agitators are widely used for desulfurization, denitrification, and agitation of various large storage tanks or tanks. Especially in large storage tanks or tanks, using one or more units working together can achieve good mixing results with low energy consumption.
Application
Install side entry mixers on various storage tanks in refineries and oil depots to mix asphalt, residual oil, crude oil, fuel oil, diesel and other oil products, achieving the functions of blending, heat transfer, homogenization and preventing sedimentation. Two mechanical seals are installed at the front and rear of the shaft to ensure that there is no leakage of the medium inside the tank.
Selection method
Industrial mixers are non-standard equipment, and their selection should be based on material characteristics, process requirements, tank size, and then determine the motor power, output speed, blade form, material, etc. for mixing. Specific selection can be consulted with relevant manufacturers.
Drilling technique for side entry mixer
1. When drilling holes, residue may fall into the side entry mixer, so be careful during operation, otherwise it may cause blockage.
2. Due to the soft lining of the side entry mixer, the drill bit will be damaged and the corners will not be neat. Use a utility knife to make holes.
3. Welding tools cannot be used on the perforated branch as it may damage the lining.
Regarding the selection of its rotor
1. Some side entry mixers have rotors similar to lemon shapes and can be used in round bottom flasks, while straight ones can be used in flat bottom containers, with the selection based on achieving better stirring effects.
2. Choose the appropriate agitator rotor based on the amount, viscosity, and shape of the container of the solution. Some very small rotors can stir a few milliliters of solution in a small flat bottomed bottle, while larger rotors in side entry mixers can stir larger volumes of solution.
3. When the viscosity of the solution is high, a larger stirrer rotor is required. Sometimes, if the viscosity is too high and cannot be stirred evenly with magnetic stirring, mechanical stirring can be considered.
